Objectives of CNG

CNG's program is focused on the following objectives:

  • Offer CNG to up to 100 students at each program site.

  • Provide a fun, hands-on, rigorous after-school and summer school-site environment using interactive, project-oriented activities that inspire students to learn math, science and language arts to enhance academic success and the joy of learning.

  • Provide an opportunity for students in lower-income communities to experience the benefits of music and other arts.

  • Provide ancillary activities such as field trips, sports and other programs in Character & Leadership Development and Healthy Lifestyles to help address the needs of the "total" child.

  • Connect students who have completed CNG with a continuum of support through Boys & Girls Clubs' Diplomas to Degrees or College Bound programs as they enter High School to help them navigate the bureaucracy of the high school system and prepare them for college.

“CNG’s primary focus is the children’s well-being, not only academically but also how they develop themselves as individuals.”
