Georgia Godfrey is the founder of Foresight Strategies, a strategic communications and public affairs firm. Georgia loves helping clients tell their story and find new audiences. She is known for her creative, out-of-the-box style while always remaining focused and calm under pressure and in a crisis. She sees the big picture.
Prior to her current business, Georgia served as Chief of Staff to United States Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice for eight years in Silicon Valley. She led all public affairs engagement and media activity for Dr. Rice which included the launch and execution of three NY Times best-selling book tours and the production and launch of the PBS documentary film, American Creed. Georgia also acted as Dr. Rice’s chief policy advisor focusing on education, immigration, and current foreign policy challenges around the world.
Georgia served in several roles as a member of the White House communications team for President George W. Bush’s administration. She worked in the Press Office overseeing and managing Presidential events, rapid response, and engagement with the White House Press Corps. Georgia also served in the Office of Presidential Advance as the primary on-site communicator for the President as he traveled the country and world. She also served at the U.S. Department of Commerce advising the Secretary on environmental, economic, and census issues following Hurricane Katrina.
She also had a guest appearance on the NBC Show 30 Rock in 2011.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Regent University. She currently resides in Lubbock, Texas.
